EPISODE 2 - We eat our skincare
Hello,
My name is Emmy, the Founder of Allure Community, and I'm thrilled to be back with you for this second episode of The Glow O'Clock!
Every Sunday is our wellness moment. A moment to slow down, reflect, and move forward together towards a more fulfilled and harmonious version of ourselves. ✨
Today, we're talking about an essential topic: nourishing your skin from the inside out, we eat our skincare! 🌸
If you want to receive episode 3 directly in your inbox, simply subscribe to the newsletter using the form at the end of this article. It's 100% free, and you'll receive each episode directly to your home. ✨
A few weeks ago, I had the chance to participate in an event on integrative medicine and nutrition, organized by Caudalie & Vard, a wellness and Pilates barre studio.
What I took away from this is the critical importance of nourishing our skin from the inside out. It's much more than what we put on our skin. Our outer beauty begins with what we nourish on the inside. 💕
Foods that nourish your skin from the inside out 🥑
You're probably familiar with the benefits of antioxidants in fruits and vegetables. But did you know that omega-3s and essential fatty acids also play a vital role? Avocados , for example, are a valuable ally for maintaining supple and hydrated skin. Vegetable oils and oily fish help reduce inflammation, while vitamins C and E , found in citrus fruits and berries, promote a luminous complexion. 🌟
Hydration: the key to inner beauty 💧
Hydration isn't just about drinking water. Water-rich foods like cucumber and zucchini, as well as homemade soups, are also essential for nourishing your skin. For example, coconut water , with its electrolytes, provides ideal hydration while also making your skin soft.
The benefits of anti-inflammatory nutrition 🌱
Quality protein , along with antioxidant- rich foods like green leafy vegetables, berries, and nuts, reduces inflammation, which is often the root cause of many blemishes. Chia seeds and turmeric, meanwhile, naturally support our skin's balance.
Stress and its influence on our skin 🧘
A key point: stress management plays a major role in our skin health. Chronic stress can cause inflammation that alters the appearance of our skin. However, adopting practices like meditation, yoga, or even simple moments of relaxation not only promotes your mental well-being, but also healthier, more radiant skin. 🌸
The link between hormones and external beauty 🌙
Hormonal fluctuations also have a direct impact on our skin, especially during stressful periods or changes in our routine. By incorporating foods rich in magnesium (like almonds and spinach) and B vitamins, you can regulate your hormones and limit the effects of stress on your skin.
So, what should we remember? Our skin is a direct reflection of what we eat.
It's essential to nourish our bodies with anti-inflammatory and hydrating foods. A thoughtful, balanced diet, in harmony with our mental well-being, can truly transform our skin from the inside out. 💕
Challenge of the week:
Incorporate some of these foods into your routine and see how they affect your skin! What food will you add to your meals this week to nourish your skin from the inside out? 🌿
See you next Sunday,
Emmy 💖
